Brief Description

Sign up now for the 2nd Annual Toughkids Triathlon which takes place in beautiful Croton Point Park, Westchester county NY as part of the Toughman Triathlon weekend festival.

Age Groups

We have three divisions in the kids race:
4-6 year olds: Swim 20yrds, Bike 200yrds, Run 100yrds
7-10 year olds: Swim 100 yrds, Bike 2 miles, Run 1/2 mile
11-14 year olds: Swim 200 yrds, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile
(Relays race the longer course)
A parent can accompany the 4-6 year olds during the race
The younger age groups will race before the older age group are on the course.
The entire course is contained within Croton Point Park.

USAT

Your child must be a member of USA Triathlon to compete in the race, including each relay member. If you do not have a membership card, please visit the following site to obtain one for $5 (and then print it out to enter your number during registration) USAT YOUTH MEMBER CARD

Rules

The race is a USAT sanctioned race so USAT rules are in effect. Your child must wear an ANSI-approved helmet during the bike portion of the event.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 4 years old and under 15 years old to participate in the Toughkids race.

Number Pick-Up

Kids can check-in on Saturday 9/11 from 8:00-9:30am at the race site. You are required to bring your USAT Youth Member Card. There are no entry transfers or substitutions.

Awards will be presented to:
~ Top 3 Overall Boys 4-6
~ Top 3 Overall Girls 4-6
~ Top 3 Overall Boys 7-10
~ Top 3 Overall Girls 7-10
~ Top 3 Overall Boys 11-14
~ Top 3 Overall Girls 11-14
~ Top Relay Team 7-10
~ Top Relay Team 11-14

Relay Teams

We have two age categories for relays so they can be aged 7-10 or 11-14. Each relay member MUST get a USAT card # and bring it to the race (see above). The swimmer starts with the timing chip and passes that to the biker in transition, who then passes it to the runner also in transition. All 3 relay team members will receive a finishers medal. Three awards will be given to the top placing team in each age group (6 trophies).

Refund Policy

There are no refunds. Please contact us prior to Sept 1st with issues of registered kids that cannot compete.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
