Brief Description

This is the 6th annual NICHALLENGE. This year’s course is sure to be as challenging and beautiful as ever. There will be two courses this year (short and long). Course details, such as route, will not be disclosed until 10 minutes prior to the race start; thus insuring the “adventure spirit” of the NICHALLENGE. The NICHALLENGE is primarily a team race. However, a solo division has been added this year for those who are unable to convince any of their friends to race with them.

Additional Information

We’ve combined our experience with the comments and suggestions from past racers in order to put on a great event. There will be two courses this year (short and long). Activities and Approximate Distances: Short Course (SC) Long Course (LC). Trail Run: 1-3 miles (SC) 4-6 miles (LC). Mt. Bike: 6-8 miles (SC) 15-20 miles (LC). Paddle: 0.5-1 miles (SC) 2-3 miles (LC). Special Challenges: Both courses. Short and long course racers should finish in 4-6 hours. Racers choose either SC or LC on race day. Upon registration, your team captain will receive an email with all the information you need to participate. All participants receive a high quality NIChallenge T-shirt and a hearty post-race lunch provided by one of our local sponsors. www.nic.edu/op
