Brief Description

Athletes will start off with a two-loop swim in beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. The bike course takes athletes through rural northern Idaho and the run course, known for its spectator support, is the highlight of the race. Ironman Coeur d'Alene will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI.

Ironman Foundation Slots

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $1,200.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $600.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in Coeur d'Alene. Deferments and/or transfers are NOT permitted.

Withdraw/Refund Policy

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to cda@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before May 9, 2012 to be eligible for a partial refund of $150.00 (USD). Transfers or deferments are NOT permitted. *Withdraw policy also applies to Ironman Foundation Slots*

USAT

USA Triathlon will sanction Ford Ironman Coeur d'Alene. To complete the registration process, athletes will need photo identification and must show proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($12.00 USD) during online registration. 2012 Ironman World Championship

Ironman Coeur d'Alene will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI.

All athletes must be 18 years of age on race day.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
