The Race the Troops Triathlon & Duathlon is a very unique event in that it has both local and remote participants. The local version is run exactly like all of our other triathlons, except that we have a special Military discount, Military wave (they start first with the Elites), and Military category.
The remote version is meant to be a moral booster for U.S. troops around the world so they have something to train for and a fun activity to do in October. Remote entrants only need to register if they wish for us to send them a t-shirt from the event and the fee is only to cover the cost of the shirt & shipping. The only requirement is to train and perform the distances wherever they are based within the week of Oct 11th to Oct 18th and submit their results via email to info@multirace.com no later than Oct 19th. Their results will then be added to the Remote Military or Remote Military Machine categories depending on whether machines were used (stationary bicycle and/or treadmill).
MILITARY DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED UPON SELECTING MILITARY OR REMOTE MILITARY AS YOUR REGISTRATION CATEGORY!

USAT Sanctioned Event
USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
