Chicago Triathlon

The 30th running of the Chicago Triathlon takes place at Monroe Harbor on Sunday, August 26th, 2011. It consists of a Sprint Distance - .75K swim, 22K bike and 5K run (Open/Age Group, Mountain Bike) and International Distance - 1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run (Open/Age Group, Mountain Bike, Clydesdale, Elite Amature, Professional, Open Relay and Corporate Relay). If you are registering for the ParaTriathlete Division, check www.chicagotriathlon.com for a breakdown on the different categories.

Fleet Feet Supersprint

This event takes place on Saturday, August 25th at Foster Avenue Beach in Chicago. The distances are half of a sprint distance (375 meter Swim/10K Bike and 2.5 K Run).

Kids Triathlon

This event takes place on Saturday, August 25th at Montrose Avenue Beach in Chicago. There is an Open/Age Group Category and a Relay Team Competition. You must be between the ages of 7 and 14 to compete in this category.

MultiSport Health and Fitness Expo

All participants for the Chicago Triathlon must attend the Multisport Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, August 24th or Saturday, August 25th in order to pick up their race packet, ChampionChip, race bag and short sleeved technical T-shirt. Participants in the Kids Triathlon or Fleet Feet SuperSprint Triathlon can pick up their race packet, ChampionChip, race bag and 100% cotton t-shirt at the Expo on Friday, August 24th or at the race site Saturday morning, August 25th.

Triple Challenge

Looking for the Ultimate Chicago Triathlon Experience? Offered again this year, the Triple Challenge offers athletes the chance to race the SuperSprint on Saturday and the Sprint and International Distances on Sunday for one great low price. One can register to compete in the events in the Open/Age Group or the Mountain Bike Division.

Before you pre-register for the 2012 race, please remember that there are no refunds and no transfers of entries. So if you cannot race on August 25th or 26th, 2012, you will not get your money back.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
