The USAT-sanctioned adult sprint triathlon is a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike and 3.1 mile run on Captiva Island, Florida. The swim will be in the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the bike will cover the length of Captiva Island on closed roads, and the run will be on the golf course path at South Seas Island Resort..

There will be two age groups for the kids:
-- Ages 6-9:100 yard swim, 1.5 mile bike, 0.5 mile run
-- Ages 10-13:200 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
Additional information
- The race is to benefit CCMI's School Backpack Program, serving Lee County.
- Additional fundraising opportunities are available to benefit CCMI.
- 50 relay teams available for adult race; 2 or 3 people per team.
- REGISTRATION CLOSES WHEN THE RACE SELLS OUT
- Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions.
- Race management also reserves the right to accept or reject all entry forms.
- Adult Race Awards: Top man and woman overall. Three deep in age groups. All finishers receive medals.
- Kids' Race Awards: All finishers receive medals
- Athletes will receive additional information by email from Captivatri@gmail.com
- All athletes must pick up their own packets. You will be notified of packet pickup dates and times. Photo ID is required.
- All athletes must either be annual USAT members or one-day members

Event schedule and times
On Sept. 16, the adult swim will start in waves at 7:15 a.m.; six waves by age groups. The course will be swept at 10 a.m.
On Sept. 15, the kids will compete by age groups:
-- Ages 6-9:100 yard swim, 1.5 mile bike, 0.5 mile run
-- Ages 10-13:200 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
START: Swim start ages 6-9 at 7:30 a.m.; start ages 10-13 at 8:00 a.m.
FINISH: Course will be swept at 9:15 a.m.
