Brief Description

The Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, TN is our host for a unique "endurance" distance and a sprint triathlon. The Dickson Endurance Triathlon will be a unique distance longer than Olympic but shorter then a half-iron. The 1 mile swim will be a two loop course in Acorn Lake. The 38 mile bike course is two & 1.2 loops on the roads outside of Montgomery Bell State Park. Our 9.3 mile run on park roads with aid at least each mile. Sprint distances - .5 mile Swim, 17 mile Bike, 5K Run.

Details & registration at: www.EnduranceSportsManagement.com Packet Pickup is set for Friday from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at swim area. Event overviews at 6PM. Race start time is 8:00 AM Central Standard Time. Arrive at site no later than 6:30 AM CST for ample time for parking, packet pickup and getting ready for event starting promptly at 8:00 AM CST. Our events benefit the Friends of Montgomery Bell Park and the new Dickson YMCA. Please look at fund-raising options for these worthy causes. Directions- From Interstate 40: Take Exit 182 (Fairview/Dickson Hwy. 96). Turn to go West on Hwy. 96. Stay on Hwy. 96 until it deadends at Hwy. 70. Turn right (East) on Hwy. 70, off-ramp provided. Stay on Hwy. 70 approximately 3 miles. Main Park Entrance is on the right. Our post event cookout is open to spectators at a cost of $5. Kid's under 6 eat free. Quite a deal! Gatorade and water coolers also available for free. Age Group (min. 3 deep or 10%) and Relay awards

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
