Awards

Custom event medals for all finishers. Custom plaques, medals or trophies for top three in each age group. Custom plaques, medals or trophies for top relay team. Overall awards given to top male/female finisher and top male/female master's finishers. No duplicate awards. Must be present. No awards mailed.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will take place on March 22nd from 4-7 and March 23rd from noon-5. Location: Britton's Bicycle Shop 434 North Loop 1604 West #1109. San Antonio TX 78232. Each athlete must pick up his or her own packet plus show ID and USAT card or purchase a one day license. No exceptions. No race day packet pickup without prior arrangements with Race Director; please make arrangements to pick up packet Friday or Saturday.

Bike Racking

Due to new regulations at Boerne City Lake Bike racking will only be available on race morning. March 24th from 6:30-7:45am. This is an open racking system, so come early if you have a 'special spot'!

Safety

Please note that all USAT rules will be in effect for this event. Bicycle helmets are mandatory. Drafting is not allowed. You the rider are ultimately responsible for your own safety - we encourage you to know the course, ride safely and follow the rules - not only of the event but of the road. Remember - this is an open road event - obey all traffic laws.

No Refunds

No refunds or roll overs. Event held rain or shine. Event may be delayed for up to one hour due to unsafe weather conditions. If weather continues to be unsafe for the swim and bike portion the event will be turned into a run only.If event is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions registered athletes will receive free entry into the event the following year.

Time Limits

Swim cut off is 1hr 20min from last wave start. Bike cut off will be 5:30 hours from last swim wave start. Course will close in 8 hours. Runners out on course at the 8 hour point will be allowed to finish but won't be given a finish time.

Aid Stations

Three aid stations will be available on the bike (approx 15 miles) and on each mile of the run and at the transition area. Water, electrolyte replacement drinks(PERFORM) and gels or bars will be provided along the course. Medical personnel will be on hand along with an ambulance in the transition area.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
