Brief Description

The IronKids National Event Series was started in 1985 and has seen more than 40,000 participants in its history. The series, with a reputation as the premier event series in the U.S., recognizes Olympian, Hunter Kemper, and seven-time Tour de France Winner, Lance Armstrong, as past champions.

TEAM CAPTAIN/COACHES

Click on the YELLOW "Create Your Team" button to create a team first (just the team name). Once the team has been setup, let your team members know they can then click on the "Register Now" button, choose the "Team Youth Entry" category and choose the Team Name from the drop down menu on the registration form.

Team Members

Click on the "Register Now" button, choose the "Team Youth Entry" category then choose the Team Name from the drop down menu on the registration form. If you do not see your team name in the drop down, please contact your Coach/Team Captain.

Individuals

If an individual is not a part of a team, choose the "Individual Youth Entry" category, register then pay for your registration.

Additional Information

Iron Kids will adopt the USAT "age-up" rule. According to USA Triathlon Competitive Rules, Article III, Section 3.2(a): "All age group athletes must participate and compete in the age division corresponding to the athlete's age on December 31 of the year of the event"

WTC/IronKid's entry fee is non-refundable. Transfers or deferrals of entry fees are NOT permitted.

If you have more than one child racing from the SAME family (ONLY), a $15 discount per second and third child is applicable. Limited to three children in the same family The IronKids Series will target 600 participants per event between the ages of 6 and 15 years old. Children will compete in age-appropriate distances with an emphasis on fitness, fun and safety.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
