About This Activity

11th annual World's Toughest Half (1.2mi-56mi-13.1mi), the return of the International Tri (1.5k-40k-10k), and Mini Tri (500m-13k-4k)and the 7th annual Long Course Duathlon (3k-56mi-13.1mi). Relay divisions in International and Half.

11th annual World's Toughest Half: 1.2-56-13.1mi

World's Toughest Half: The USAT SOUTHWEST REGIONAL LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Depart from the bland routes with overcrowded fields and enjoy a true adventure into the Sierra. The ultimate athlete-focused, old school "must do" race!

Mini Tri:

The 500m-13k-4k Auburn Mini Triathlon, is an excellent novice challenge with diverse terrain, incredible scenery and virtually no car traffic on both the bike and run! The race will be held in conjunction with the World's Toughest Half, International Tri and Long Course Duathlon events, starting before all the other events so the mini swimmers will have a safe, unimpeded journey over their 500 meter swim course.

Auburn International

The Auburn International Triathlon offers challenging routes over diverse terrain, with incredible scenery and minimal traffic.Swim .9 miles, Ride 24.8 miles, and Run 6.2 miles

7th Annual Long Course Duathlon

Duathlon: THE USAT SOUTHWEST REGIONAL LONG COURSE DUATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS. Enjoy a scenic 3k warmup run on lakeside trails, fire roads, and paved roads, then go head to head with the triathletes over 56mi bike and 13.1mi run! A course to challenge all of your abilities - twice hosted National Long Course Duathlon Championship!

    Timing

    You will be chip timed with an ankle bracelet chip, with computerized results available right after the event, and online the next day.

    Two-Transition Area Race Logistics

    T1 swim venue at Rattlesnake Bar Park at Folsom Lake (7 miles downhill from T2/finish). Best bets:

  • Park at finish line, set T2 shoes/gear (may also do this Saturday). Coast downhill 7 miles on bike. All T1 gear returned to finish.
  • Get dropped off at road barricade, 3/4-mile from swim venue and coast in on bicycle
  • Spectator parking at lake available - exit after final cyclist ~8am.

    Registration

    Packet pickup and late reg is from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday May 18th at Railhead Park. Recommended course information meeting at 3pm.

    You may also pickup your chip on Sunday from 5:30am-6:45am at Folsom Lake swim start - no hassles. Please visit Auburn Tri Home Page for driving directions and complete race details.

    USA Triathlon Membership

    This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. You must have your USAT Membership card with you to pick up your race packet or you will have to pay the one day USAT race fee of $12. Please register for your one-day license of $12 when you complete your entry form, thank you.

    LATE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE

    Active.com registration closes Friday nite at midnight. Late Registration is available after that in person at Saturday registration or Sunday morning! CLICK HERE to fax entry in.
