Swim in the temperate, calm and scenic Folsom Lake. 1k course for Sprint. 2 loops of 1k course for World's Toughest Half. Mini swims 500m simple out&back. Tons of kayak and water craft support. Duathletes run a scenic, moderately hilly 3k on the lake shore (paved and dirt road and single/double track trail).
Enjoy a scenic, very tough 13k, 30k or 56-mile bike course with extremely minimal traffic, incredible scenery and an amazing top secret narrow road down to the secluded banks of the Bear River! Only four signal intersections (in each direction) in 56 miles.
This course offers a complete test of your cycling abilities with sustained climbs, short steep climbs, flat sections and fun roller coaster sections. Most climbing is gentle grade. You gain elevation during the first 28 miles, with high point of 2,450'. 30k high point at mile 12.5 turnaround is 1,650'. 13k route climbs 900' from lake to finish line in Auburn - mostly gradual with one mile of steep.
Run a beautiful 7k, spectator-friendly loop course along the edge of the American River canyon in the Auburn State Park with no car traffic. 13.1-mile runners complete three 7k loops--multiple passes through a spectator-line chute at Railhead Park. Course features beautiful shaded canal trail and spacious paved State Park roads with breathtaking views of the American River around every turn! One moderate descent of one-mile (200') and moderate climb of one-mile (200') on the loop. 4 aid stations on loop - 11 for the 13.1-mile course! Mini Tri runs 1 loop, skipping the out&back portion to achieve 4k route to finish line.
This is a great event for athletes of all ability levels. The World's Toughest Half will prepare iron-distance athletes for summer events. The Sprint course offers a unique, safe and exciting challenge. The Mini Tri is a very safe introductory event with scenic, challenging, auto-free bike and run courses.

Auburn is convenient to Interstate-80, 30 minutes east of Sacramento and 45 minutes east of the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Enjoy lavish age group awards, full sponsorship support, great food and comprehensive on-course aid. Relay teams of 2-3 people are welcome in each event.
Registration expo will be held on Saturday May 21st from 2-6pm at Skyridge Elementary School in Auburn. A recommended course meeting will be held at 3pm and 5pm at Skyridge.
