Akron Women’s ONLY Triathlon Brief Description This race is for WOMEN ONLY. Men need not apply. A perfect venue for those ladies wanting to take on their first triathlon in a very non-competitive environment. Description The triathlon starts off with a 250 yard swim along the beach in chest deep water, followed by a 7 mile bike on a two lap closed to traffic course within the park and finishing with a 2 mile two lap run next to the main staging area. Awards and Divisions The top three overall ladies will receive special awards. In addition, the top three in all age groups (15-19, 20-24…75+), Athena, Mountain Bike, and all relay teams divisions will receive awards. Race Packet All participants will receive a custom technical race t-shirt, HFP water bottle, sponsor goodie bag, and post race food and beverages. Registration & Packet Pickup Saturday from 6:00am - 8:45am at the park beach area. Race starts at 9:00am. Directions From Columbus: Travel I-71 North to I-76 East. I-76 will merge with SR 224. Take SR 224 East to the Manchester Road Exit/SR 93. Take SR 93 South (follow park signs) approx. 5 miles to the park entrance. From Cleveland: Travel I-77 South to I-76 west to SR 224 East. Take SR 224 to the Manchester Road Exit/SR 93. Take SR 93 South (follow park signs) approx. 5 miles to the park entrance.
