    • Course Description

    This race is great for veterans and beginners alike. The swim is inviting for the novice swimmer because the course will be very calm and reasonably short at 500 meters. The bike course is a 18 mile loop with a mix of fast, flat sections and a couple small, rolling hills along the course. Finally, participants will finish with a 5K run. The run is filled with rolling hills and cheering spectators that will deliver you to the finish line in Historic Downtown Acworth.

    Event Features

    All participants receive a short-sleeve t-shirt, goody bag, chip timing and plenty of entertainment! Hang out with friends and family on the Dallas Landing Beach or in Historic Downtown Acworth while enjoying food and entertainment.

    Overall Awards

    Overall Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Males, Top 3 Overall Females, Top 3 Master Males (40+), and Top 3 Master Females (40+).

    Age Group Awards

    1st, 2nd & 3rd in Male & Female in the following age divisions:
    13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

    Awards will be available at the Awards Presentation on race day or can be mailed for a $7 fee.

    By USAT rules, athletes' age groups are determined by their age on December 31st of that year.

    Relay Awards

    Triathlon Relay- Awards will be given to the Top relay team in the Triathlon Relay Division.

    Transfers & Refund Policy

    The request to transfer out of a race must be made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled event date. No transfers will be allowed after 6/16/2012. The fee to transfer registration to another athlete is $30. The fee must be accompanied with an application from the new participant.

    No Refunds will be allowed.

    Event will be held rain or shine.

    Sanctioning

    USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
