The fees for the coaching clinics are $69 for a USAT Certified Coach, $89 for USAT Members, and $109 for the general public

Brief Description

Shelly O'Brien is a USAT Level 3 Elite Development coach and the SouthMidwest Regional Athlete Development Coordinator for USA Triathlon. This Class is for the interested parent; swim, run or multisport coach; or any other youth mentor.

Additional Information

Coach Shelly will discuss how to maximize training with growth potential in athletes under the age of 18 years. Complete discussion of appropriate training volumes, race distances, USAT development opportunities, International program comparisons, youth team development, integration with single sport groups and more. Coaches, parents, and developmental athletes are encouraged to attend. USAT Certified Coaches will earn 2 CEUs for attendance

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
