Brief Description

This is a great event for first time triathletes or join us for the 5K run/walk. The course will be flat and fast. It is a perfect course to try your first race, or for a local veteran to go for a podium finish. The pool swim will be a great way to start triathlon if you are worried about the swim. The kids race will be great fun! All proceeds will go to support Boy Scout Troop 234. The funds raised will be used by local boys for summer camp, equipment, and overnight camping.

TriTulare Sprint Triathalon

The course is a quick 400 yard pool swim, a flat 8.5 mile bike, and a flat 2.9 mile run. (Just short of a 5K) The finish will take place on the Tulare Western track after a finishing lap on the track. The first wave will begin at 8 a.m. Late registration will be allowed the day of the event between 6:30-7:30 a.m. until sold out. A race t-shirt and goodie bag is included with all pre-registrations, but not for day of race registration. Email tritulare@gmail.com for a race information packet.

TriTulare 5K

The 5K starts after the final swim wave has begun. Run for a personal best or walk with a group of friends. It will follow the same course as the run section of the triathalon. It is a flat 2.9 miles and will join up with the Santa Fe trail. T-shirts and goodie bags included for all pre-registrations, but not for day of race registrations. Late Registration will be allowed the day of the event between 6:30-7:30 a.m. until sold out. Email tritulare@gmail.com for a race info packet.

This race has a max age of 13 years old. It will take place after the last participant has finished the sprint triathalon. It consists of a 50 yard swim, a one mile bike, and a 1/4 mile run (one lap around the Western track). Every participant gets a medal. It is scheduled to start at approximately 10:30 a.m. T-Shirts are not included in the registration fee. T-Shirts are extra for this event only. Day of race t-shirt availability is not guaranteed. No times for the kids race.

Additional Information

After a successful inaugural race in 2011, we have made some improvements based on feedback from the racers. Luckily, the race went well and the improvements are minor but should improve the overall experience.
