What's Included

Like riding your bike in the woods? Want to take your riding to the next level? Whether you ride all the time or just like to play in the woods, join our staff for a week of mountain bike riding at Loyola and area trails. Climb better and descend with more control. Learn how to shift more efficiently, brake properly and ride with more confidence. Additionally, we will cover basic bicycle and trail maintenance and develop an appreciation for the outdoors in a fun and safe environment. Mr. Keeney II is a middle and upper school history teacher who has been teaching for 14 years. After college, he travelled extensively in Asia, teaching English and looking for his own exciting adventures. Upon returning home, he worked as an instructor and raft guide for the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). For the last 8 years he was in Durham, North Carolina where he taught history, moderated the school's outdoor club and ran summer camps geared around pedal and paddle sports. He is a certified kayak and canoe instructor with the American Canoe Association and has worked with both the Carolina Canoe Club and the Baltimore Canoe Club.
