What's Included

As the world’s problems become more interconnected and complex, there is an increasingly large role for engineers to play in the realm of business innovation. By learning fundamental principles of engineering analysis and design, and merging them with concepts of business modelling and structure, students will apply technical thinking to identify systemic problems and create valuable opportunities for addressing them. Participants will work in teams throughout the week to flesh out their analyses and develop solutions in the form of business proposals to be judged by engineering entrepreneurs.

About This Organizer

The Engineering Student Outreach Office (ESOO), created in Fall 2009, manages and administers the core outreach programs offered by the Faculty. We act as the central unit for outreach activities promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education to a wide audience. We design and deliver programs centrally, and coordinate the activities by other entities including student organizations, Faculty members, and Departments. The vast majority of outreach activities supported by ESOO are pre-university programming.

The Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering is committed to inspiring youth within the community and across the world through outreach programming that focuses on engineering and applied sciences. These programs range from summer live-in programs to weekend courses during the fall and spring terms.

Below is a listing of our current program offerings. Click on the links to find out more about each program.
