It protects and enhances unique wildlife habitat that is part of Merrymeeting Bay including a spectacular 15' waterfall. Head of Tide park also creates a critical trail connection to the more than 7 miles of trails upstream from the park site, establishes a waterfront part for the public to enjoy, and provides hand carry boat access to the Cathance River. The park is being conserved and the amenities are being built through a collaborative partnership between the Town of Topsham and the Brusnwick-Topsham Land Trust. While much has been done to date, there is still much to do to fully implement the design plans for the park.
