Learn how to race Ironman Texas over the course of a long training weekend led by one of the most experienced Iron distance coaches in the country...Endurance Nation Co-Founder Patrick McCrann. Note: Patrick won M35-39 AG with a 9:27 in 2012.
Coach Patrick McCrann of Endurance Nation will be on hand to lead the weekend. Patrick raced IMTX in 2012, with a PR and Kona-qualifying time of 9:27. He's conducted three camps on the IMTX course and has coached 100+ athletes to the finishline. In short, Patrick knows IMTX inside and out, and will share that experience with you!
Thursday - Four Keys of Ironman Execution
5-5:30pm: Registration, greeting, at host hotel
5:30-7pm: Four Keys of Ironman Execution, Ironman Texas Edition. Coach Patrick McCrann will deliver the Texas version of our Four Keys Talk, teaching everything you need to know to race IMTX successfully.
7pm: EVENING SOCIAL: Location: TBD
Friday - Race Rehearsal Ride and Brick
7:00am -- Race Rehearsal Ride: you'll ride up to 112 miles of the IMTX course with the lessons of the Thursday evening session in your head. Afternoon -- Optional Brick Run: Up to 6 miles, on your own.
5:00pm -- Race Rehearsal Debrief. Coach Patrick will debrief the ride, answer your questions. Discussion: Advanced Ironman Racing Topics -- Coach Patrick will discuss topics of gearing, bike setup, bike fit, race day nutrition, riding hilly courses, run pacing, and much more.
Saturday - Race Rehearsal Ride and Brick #2
7am: Race Rehearsal Ride #2 -- ride all or as much of the Ironman Texas bike course as you want, refining the lessons you've learned in the camp. Afternoon: optional brick run, up to 6 miles, on your own.
5pm: Race Rehearsal #2 Debrief; Ironman Training for Age Group Athletes; Training and Racing Ironman with Power and Pace.
7pm: Camp Dinner at Location TBD.
Sunday: Long Run
7:30am: A walk thru of the Ironman Texas transition area.
8am: Long run/race rehearsal on the Ironman Texas run course.
11am: Camp ends.
We will be based out of The Hyatt Place Houston/The Woodlands. They will honor a special $119/night double occupancy rate; and they will host our evening meetings and Saturday camp dinner. A Tri-Rally is a long training weekend, filled with discussions where we teach you how to race every inch of YOUR Ironman.
Everyone from newbies to Kona qualifiers participate, train on the Ironman course and get to know each other. Endurance Nation co-founder Patrick McCrann will be on hand to guide the weekend, train with the participants, and offer informative discussions each day.
Everyone receives three solid days of training and over five hours of Ironman execution discussion led by one of the most experienced Ironman coaches in the business. Non-members can pay extra and get a 20-week Ironman training plan -- a $399 value, included with the camp slot.
