About This Activity

The 2nd Annual Goose Poop 5K Challenge benefiting United Way of the Wabash Valley s early childhood education initiative Success by 6, will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Hawthorn Park located in Terre Haute, IN. This unique, family-friendly, fun event isn t your normal 5K (3.1 miles) run. Participants will have to maneuver over, under or through various obstacles that will be placed along the course, including all that goose poop!

Who says running has to be a solo sport? Bring the whole team and race for great prizes in the Goose Poop 5K Challenge. Regardless of your levels of athleticism weekend warriors or hard core marathoners the key for this race is FUN! Take the Goose Poop Flock Challenge and help shape up your community by committing to a great cause, while having fun at the same time! GOOSE POOP FLOCK CHALLENGE: A large trophy will be awarded to the flock (a.k.a. team) that registers the most paying participants. The team will be presented the trophy during the awards ceremony following the 5K challenge. FLOCK PARTICIPATION AWARDS: Any team with more than 10 paying participants (does not include kids challenge) will receive a commemorative plaque after the race! SPIRIT AWARDS: Awards will be issued the day of the event for a few different reasons. So make sure you come happy and make your team stand out! NOTE: When registering on-line or by using this form, please make sure you put your flock name in the designated area so your team receives the correct credit! We suggest you pre determine your team name, make sure everyone knows it and knows to include it on registration documents!
