C. since 1957 and is the South Carolina junior qualifying tournament. Players must play in the Palmetto Championships to advance to the Southern Closed Championships. Championships are determined in 5 age divisions for both boys and girls in singles and doubles. The Palmetto is closed to residents of South Carolina only.
