The World TeamTennis match format at the professional level consists of one set each of men's and women's singles,one set each of men's and women's doubles and one set of mixed doubles. Every game counts as a point in the overall score. A team must win the last game of the last set to prevail. The Springfield Lasers play in the Western Conference against the Kansas City Explorers, St. Louis Aces, Sacramento Capitals, and Newport Beach Breakers. The top two team from the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference qualify for the World TeamTennis Championship and the opportunity to win the King Cup.
