Brief Description

This clinic will help you establish more comfort, confidence, and experience in rough water. We will offer some tips and techniques for how to make it through choppy water. Then we'll put you out in some really rough conditions to practice. Experience is the best way to become a good rough-water swimmer! This clinic is perfect for comfortable open water swimmers who want to get used to uncomfortable swimming conditions.

Additional Information

Prerequisites - must be able to swim 1/2 mile in open water very comfortably. This is not a technique clinic. Equipment to have for the clinic: - Lots of warm clothes and a hat to put on after you swim - Bottle of warm water to clean the sand off your feet off after - Body Glide or Vaseline (if you don't have any we'll have some extra, too) - Goggles - Swim Suit - Wetsuit (optional) - Earplugs, if your ears are at all sensitive to the water - Trash bag to take your wet wetsuit home in You might also be interested in joining our regular Group Swims at Aquatic Park.
