Brief Description

The goal of this 60-minute clinic is to improve your body position in the water to reduce drag and improve your stroke and breathing technique. This clinic is designed for triathletes with basic swimming skills. Requirements are the ability to swim 100 yards without stopping and a desire to improve. We will work on stroke technique and making you comfortable and efficient in the water.

Video analysis

This clinic includes underwater videotaped stroke analysis of each participant. During the video review, the coaches will point out areas of strength and areas in need of improvement and suggest specific drills to improve your open water swimming technique.

Clinic times

Each clinic is 60 minutes. Clinics will be offered at 8AM, 9AM, 10AM and 11AM.

All clinic participants will receive a $25 discount off an Asphalt Green Tri Stroke Clinic.

Instructors

This clinic will be lead by Neil Cook, Head Coach of the Asphalt Green Triathlon Club and Mike Galvin, USAT Certified Coach with the Asphalt Green Triathlon Club.

What to bring

Swim suit, googles, cap, towel and lock. Lockers and showers will be available.

You will learn triathlon specific swimming skills that will prepare you for the chaos of a group start, help you avoid anxiety and conserve energy, and enable you to leave the swimming leg of your race fresh and relaxed.
