Brief Description
Over 80% of your success and performance in swimming are determined by your efficiency. Triathletes, on average, are less than 5% energy-efficient in swimming (i.e. less than 5 percent converts into forward propulsion).
Efficiency in swimming is a combination of:
1) Minimizing drag or water resistance by "reshaping your vessel" - longer, sleeker body lines and less - and rethinking your stroke.
2) Making every stroke count so you move your body forward, rather than moving water back.
