Brief Description

Over 80% of your success and performance in swimming are determined by your efficiency. Triathletes, on average, are less than 5% energy-efficient in swimming (i.e. less than 5 percent converts into forward propulsion). Efficiency in swimming is a combination of: 1) Minimizing drag or water resistance. You do this by "reshaping your vessel" - longer, sleeker body lines and less - and rethinking your stroke. 2) Making every stroke count. Move your body forward, rather than moving water back.

Clinic schedule

Each clinic is 60 minutes. Clinics will be offered at 8AM, 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, 1PM, 2PM and 3PM.

Coach to clinic participant ratio

There will be 1 coach to every 6 clinic participants.

What to Bring

Bring your bathing suit, swim goggles, swim cap, and towel. Showers will be available.

Additional Information

This 60-minute class will introduce you to 3 specific Stroke Thoughts that will increase your efficiency. You will be able to measure the efficiency gains produced by each Stroke Thought. This class typically produces an efficiency increase of 10 to 20 percent in 60 minutes.
