Brief Description

This swim event has been very successful with about 200 swimmers. It is a great swim in a calm ocean water cove. Even in a hurricane the water will be swimable. Infact, in 2004 we ran the event in between two hurricanes and it went great! We had over 40 swimmers who braved out the weather. Awards given to top three finishers in each age group. Wetsuits are suggested for this swim, but not required. The water is very calm in the cove, which is located in Salem Harbor.

Directions

Collins Cove is located on Webb Street which is off Bridge Street. Follow signs to Salem Willows and you will see us. We are the cove on the left heading towards the Willows.

Details

Wetsuits are suggested for this swim, but not required. The water is very calm in the cove, which is located in Salem Harbor.

Awards to top finishers

Medals will be awarded to top three finishers in each age group male and female; -18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ $150 Cash Prize to 1st place Male/Female in 2mile swim...$100 Cash Price to 1st place Male/Female in 1mile swim.

Location

Webb Street is located off Bridge Street in Salem heading towards Salem Willows Park. It is at the corner of Essex Street and Webb Street, you can not miss it.

Race Day Registration

Race day registration will open at 9am. First 150 participants to register will receive tech-shirt and cinch sak, on a first come first serve basis. Sizes Not Guranteed!! A swim cap will be provided to all swimmers. Race day registration is $30.

Post Registration Fee

After August 15th the registration fee goes to $30 so please register ASAP.
