Brief Description

The Lowcountry Splash is an open water swimming event in the Charleston Harbor in Charleston, SC. This year the Splash will have our traditional 2.4 Mile event & new to 2013 will be a 5 mile event. Swimmers will start at Hobcaw Yacht Club, swim along the Mount Pleasant shoreline, under the Cooper River Bridge, passing the USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier & finishing at the Patriots Point Maritime Center. The 5 Mile start will be on Daniel Island and merge with the race course for the 2.4 race.

Additional Information

Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Over all and to the top finisher in each age group. There is also a team competition and the Over Under Challenge which the combined times of the Lowcountry Splash and the Cooper River Bridge Run. This year we are adding a Sponsor a Splasher competition to raise additional funds for the Logan Foundation. Once registered, you will receive a form to have friends and family sponsor your for your race. The top three Splashers to raise the most support money will win prizes. The Splash 5Mile starts at 7:10 am & the Splash 2.4 at 7:30 . Swimmers will be shuttled over from Patriots Point to Hobcaw yacht club for the Start of the 2.4 and to Daniel Island for the 5 Mile.
