Brief Description

The Greenswell Open Water Swims and Aquathlon Series is the perfect opportunity for swimmers and triathletes of all abilities to practice their open water swimming in a fun, competitive environment and at distances not previously offered at other venues. It's also perfect for triathletes to practice their open water pacing and swimming with the bonus of an added 5K run . After each race you'll have a chance to relax, kick back with friends, and enjoy the post race food and drinks.

Licence Requirements

Entry Fees below do not reflect $12 one-day license fee for participants who are NOT members of USA Triathlon, USA Swimming, or US Masters. If not a member of USA Swimming or US Masters, participants must compete under USAT sanction. Entry fees do no reflect one-day license fees for non-members of those associations. We are required to collect these license fees and pass them directly to the appropriate event sanctioning body. ALL non-members are required to pay the USAT one-day license fee.

License Requirements (con't)

Greenswell is required to pay an additional fixed fee to these organizations for sanction. Through sanctioning, these organization provide not only certain safety requirements and standards for events to be sanctioned but also provide event liability and participant liability insurance coverage for participant, event organizer, volunteers, event support, and event venue owners, including state and local government.

License Requirements (con't)

For Open Water Swims, as this event is sanctioned by US Masters Swimming and USA Swimming, all participants must have a USMS or USA Swimming license to participate

Additional Information

Distances for the series include a 1/2 mile, 1 mile, and 2 mile swim. Distance for the aquathlon series include; short course 1/2 mile swim & 5k run, long course 1 mile swim & 5k. Series dates are Saturday, June 2 and Saturday, July 14.
