Brief Description

This open water swim (fixed buoy course) will honor one of America's finest. Aaron Vaughn, a member of DEVGRU (SEAL Team VI), was KIA on Aug. 6th, 2011 when a Chinook helicopter crashed in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan. All 30 American warriors on board lost their lives that day. This crash represented the single largest loss of life in Naval Special Warfare history.

On-Site Registration / Sign-In

On-Site Registration will be available the morning of the swim until our limit is hit! Please be at the park at 7:30am. Pre-registered swimmers, please allow yourself 15-20 minutes for check-in. Registration will close at 8:45am and opening ceremonies will begin promptly.

Directions:

From U.S. Hwy 1 in Jensen Beach, FL: take Jensen Beach Blvd to NE Indian River Drive (CR 707) Turn Lft on NE Indian River Drive Turn Rt on NE Causeway Blvd Enter Jensen Beach Park straight ahead and look for event signs.

Awards, Prizes, and Extras

Awards will be given in only the "overall" 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places for both men and women in each race (200yd, 1k, 5k) All registrants will receive free breakfast, juice, coffee, and fruit as well as a free lunch for our awards celebration! The first 100 registrants will be guaranteed a sports bag full of goodies, including a specially designed, one-of-a-kind T-shirt from "Forged Clothing~ An American Brand" (A San Diego company founded by 2 Navy SEALs)

This will be a family-fun day. Events will be planned throughout the morning to entertain your children, so be sure to bring them along!
