Brief Description

The Redwood Coast Chapter of the United States Lifesaving Association, in conjunction with Redwood Coast Masters will be hosting the Russian River Challenge. A 500 meter swim as well as 1 mile loop of river. Water temperature will be 70 to 74 degrees. All participants must wear the provided swim cap; there will be no exceptions. The 1 mile swim begins at 8:30am The 500 meter begins at 10:00am

Additional Information

Wet suits will render that swimmer ineligible for awards. Awards will be given to the overall female and male winners and to the first three places in all age groups. The course will be patrolled by lifeguards from Sonoma County Regional Parks. All pre registered competitors will receive a commemorative t-shirt. T-shirts will also be on sale race day.
