The Redwood Coast Chapter of the United States Lifesaving Association, in conjunction with Redwood Coast Masters will be hosting the Russian River Challenge. Our first time offerig a 500 meter swim as well as the 1 mile loop of river. Water temperature will be 70 to 74 degrees. All participants must wear the provided swim cap; there will be no exceptions.
500 meter and 1 mile loop courses 3 wave starts for the 500meter swim at 8:30AM 3 wave starts for the 1 mile swim at 10:00am

Overall male & female swimmer 1st, 2nd, 3rd place by age group
Swim caps will be supplied. It is mandatory that these caps be worn. Safety craft and lifeguards on rescue boards will patrol the course. Individual escorts are not allowed. A cut-off time of 1 hour will be enforced.
Wet suits will render that swimmer ineligible for awards. Pullbuoys, leg floats, webbed gloves, or other possible speed increasing devices are not permitted.
All pre-registered competitors will receive a commemorative t-shirt. T-shirts will also be on sale race day.
