Atlantic Surfing Federation is a non-profit org committed to promoting + implementing a modern, progressive surfing program for all members + ability levels. The ASF seeks to instill discipline, environmental awareness, positive values of fair play, + good sportsmanship in all its members, while encouraging + guiding their development in the area of competitive surfing. Additional Information

Qualification for competition divisions is determined by your age as of Jan. 1 of the current competition season (i.e. 2011/2012 age determined as of January 1, 12:01 AM, 2012). PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED. The following competition divisions will earn points in the Atlantic Surfing Federation Surfing America USA Championships Divisions – Top surfers in these divisions will be invited to represent the ASF in the Surfing America USA Championships at the Huntington Beach Pier, with finals at Lower Trestles. Top positions will be determined by totaling the best 5 regular season event scores (global points). Slot allotments per division are determined by Surfing America. Surfing America Prime qualifying divisions – Top surfers in these divisions will be invited to surf the Surfing America Prime series to qualify for the Surfing America USA Championships and USA Surf Team. Top positions will be determined by totaling the best 5 regular season event scores (global points). Top surfers in these divisions of ASF will receive periodic invitations to fill open slots as alternates in Surfing America Prime based on their ASF ratings at the time the slots become available. Slot allotments per division into Surfing America Prime will be determined by Surfing America and posted on the ASF website as soon as they are received. Surfers in these divisions will not earn slots into the Surfing America USA Championships. All slots for these divisions into the USA Championships are through Surfing America Prime.
