Brief Description

Join us October 14th for the Urban Surf for Kids-PaddleFest 2012! Event will include Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Racing, live music, board demos, food/vendor expo & an awesome prize raffle (grand prize is a new SUP Board autographed by big wave legend Dave Kalama!) If you’re new to the sport of paddleboarding, make sure to checkout our 2-person, head-to-head relay battle with bracket-style elimination. There will also be a 6mile and 2mile distance course for more experienced paddlers as well.

Additional Information

Urban Surf 4 Kids (www.urbansurf4kids.org), a San Diego non-profit organization aimed at providing surf camps, swimming lessons and other water-based activities for foster kids in San Diego while encouraging them to give back to their community as well. Proceeds of the event will go towards developing a permanent after-school program for the foster kids. Course Descriptions
•Elite Long Course ( $45 reg fee): 6 mile race (3 laps) for experienced paddlers
•Short Course ( $35 reg fee): 2 mile race (1 lap) for experienced paddlers
•HeadSUP Battle, 2-person relay course ( $50 reg fee): 100 yd relay course for beginners

-Under 12'6

-14’ (fixed, no steering and non-canted fin)
-Unlimited (larger than 14’, steering system and canted fin allowed)
Age Groups (both men and women)
-17 & Under
-18-29
-30-49
-50 & over each division
