Camp Overview

This Volcom sponsored surf camp is a summer experience unlike any other. Owned and operated by 3-time US longboarding champion Josh Baxter & Chris Barnum, this is the only camp located at legendary San Onofre Surf Beach, So Cal’s equivalent to Hawaii’s famous Waikiki Beach. With the gentle waves at Sano anyone can learn how to surf. Coming to our camp is like joining one big happy family. We’ll surf, eat and play together, creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

Program Details

Week long overnight and day camp programs available June through August 2011. Experienced staff provides customized surf instruction for all levels. Campers enjoy, nutritious food, fun beach activities and learn about important topics like: ocean safety, surf etiquette and physical fitness. Join our “Award Ceremony” Friday afternoon, where campers are recognized for accomplishments and goodies are raffled off. Campers receive Volcom Surf Camp tee shirt and hat.

Surf instruction located at San Onofre, Surf Beach with Overnight Camp accommodations at the San Clemente State Park campground.

Day Camp: Monday through Friday 8am -4pm. Overnight Camp: Monday 8am - Friday 4pm

Staff

Our CPR / first aid certified staff members are enthusiastic professionals committed to being role models both in and out of the water. Instructors are experienced watermen and women who share a passion for surfing and surf instruction. Summer Soul’s coaching methods are designed to improve style and confidence in the water. Camper to staff ratio is 4 to 1.
