Transitioning from the safety of film school into being a working film professional can be really scary. How are you supposed to get jobs? What are some realistic expectations? How are you going to pay rent? Creative Producer Angie Gaffney is excited to teach a 4 week class to cover all of the above and more. When it comes to being an entrepreneur in the film industry, Angie is one of the best in Chicago. The executive director of Stage 18, owner and creative producer at Black Apple Media, and often speaks on the film industry locally and internationally. This class will cover how to effectively reach out to the department heads you'd like to be working with, creating a winning resumé, and getting your foot in the door with film, commercial, and television production. The contacts you make in college are fantastic, but they can only take you so far. Angie will work with students over 4 weeks, teaching them the ins and outs of getting hired in the industry, maintaining those relationships, and getting hired time and time again.
