What's Included

This class will give students an introduction to comic book drawing, storytelling styles, and the superhero archetype. They will learn about panel composition, practice inking, bordering, and fill techniques, and discuss common themes in comic books. In addition to technique, they will study the history of the medium and how it has developed in America, Europe, and Japan. Class Objective: Students will learn all aspects of comic book creation, up to and including the creation of their own comic book. They will design characters, create storyboards, and present their comics to parents and peers. Students who excel in this class may move on to the Portfolio class.
