What's Included

Class Description: This class explores the never-ending possibilities of what can be hand-built with the wonderful, tactile nature of clay! Students will pinch, press, fold, drape, texture, roll and coil to create bowls, trays, dishes, tumblers, animal banks, sculptures, and more. Learned techniques will be the starting point to develop their own unique expression with clay. Teacher: Barb Gregoire was raised in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. She noticed the subtle aesthetics of nature early in life. For Barb, inspiration for ceramic art comes from beauty often missed because of the fast pace of our present world. From the boundless forms of earth, water, and fire, her attempt to create a dialogue between form and surface should be viewed with quiet contemplation. Each piece of her pottery is an organic expression for everyday living.

About This Organizer
