This camp is specially designed for kids that attended Camp Splash 1 last year or have completed the fourth grade. This follow-up camp will focus primarily on water issues and how they affect people. Camp Splash II will concentrate less on the biological elements of water and more on the social impacts and problems facing water as a resource. Students can expect to learn about the first explorers of the Colorado River, the different dam projects throughout history, and the issues facing our community concerning water. We will also learn new ways to conserve water in our own lives. This camp includes an overnight rafting trip with Camp Splash 1 students. Students will attend camp in Steamboat M-W 8:30-5PM. Leave Steamboat early Thursday morning and return Friday at 1pm.
