Bio: Shianne grew up in central Pennsylvania in the Bedford area. She was involved with dance since she was young and did so until she was 18. After graduating from Chestnut Ridge High School, Shianne went on to study Accounting and Entrepreneurship at Penn State. She successfully finished her schooling at Penn State in 3½ years earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Shianne continued her love for dance by taking Zumba classes. After taking classes at the State College YMCA, Shianne was inspired by her instructor to continue with her passion of music and fitness. In doing so, she developed such a great appreciation for Zumba that she became a certified instructor for adults. She is a substitute Zumba Instructor at the State College and Bellefonte YMCAs. Her passion for Zumba grew even bigger to the point where she became a certified instructor for children. Introduction/Goals: Each week the children will be introduced to a new dance (including Cumbia, Salsa, and Hip-Hop) and a brief history behind the dance and the country it comes from.
