A 5 mile race and a 2.6 mile walk over the roads of the Southport/Westport "Gold Coast" roads. Extremely scenic, the race course is flat and gently rolling. The walk passes through picturesque Southport harbor & village. Parking is available close to the venue if arrival is early (7:00 or earlier).

Are dogs and/or strollers permitted?
Dogs and strollers are only permitted in the 2.6 mile walk; they are NOT permitted in the 5 mile race.
What time does the race and walk start?
8:15 am, but you need to get there earlier. The later you arrive, the harder it is to find a parking spot.
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Southport train station parking lots, the Pequot Library, and various retail lots on the Post Road.
Can I sign up someone other than myself?
Yes, but only immediate family members.
Can I pick up someone else's race number, shirt, etc.?
Yes, but be certain that those for whom you are picking up are aware of it.
Can I pick up my bib, shirt, etc. before race day?
Yes, we encourage you to pick up before race dayevery evening starting on Monday, Nov. 25, at Wakeman Boys/Girls Club, 385 Center Street, Southport, between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. NOTE: IF YOU REGISTERED ONLINE THE WEEK OF THE RACE YOU CANNOT PICK UP YOUR SHIRT, BIB, ETC. UNTIL THE FOLLOWING EVENING.
Will my name appear in bold on my bib?
Yes, if you registered before November 1.
If I become injured or sick and can't run/walk, can I get a refund?
No, there are no refunds once you have entered.
How late can I register online?
Online registration closes at 6:00 PM on Nov. 26. In-person regiatration is at Wakeman Monday - Wednesday, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM and on race morning beginning at 6:30 AM until 7:45 AM. Registration on race day is $50.00...no t-shirt.
How can I check to see if I'm registered?

We find it particularly unfortunate that we have to address the issue of increased security at our event which raises thousands of dollars to help others. Nevertheless, given recent circumstances, we have taken steps to beef up security. We thank the town of Fairfield and specifically the Fairfield Police Department for assisting us in this endeavor. Fairfield Police will be providing extra officers, both in uniform and civilian clothes in and around the venue. As well, the police will provide EOD dogs before and during the race. These dogs are trained to detect “suspicious” articles.
Additionally, people attending the event, both entrants and spectators, that are carrying non-transparent bags, may be stopped and asked to submit their bags for scanning. Therefore, it is advisable for those that wish to bring bags to use transparent bags. This will cause delays getting into the building and everyone is advised to arrive early. The race must start at 8:15 and you should plan to arrive by no later than 7:15.
