Lacrosse-Indoor Clinic for Girls, Grades 9-12

The South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs will offer an indoor lacrosse clinic for South Orange and \nMaplewood Girls in Grades 3-12 on Wednesday nights in the South Orange \nMiddle School Gym. Girls will be separated by age and skill level to \nget the most out of this instructional clinic. Program highlights \ninclude sessions on stick checking, proper cradling technique, aspects \nof shot selection and offensive placement, zone and "man to man" \ndefenses.
- Grades 3-5, 6:45-8:15 pm
- Grades 6-8, 6:45-8:15 pm
- Grades 9-12, 8:15-9:45 pm
This lacrosse program is under the direction of Bonnie Buechel. Bonnie \ngraduated from Columbia High School in 2005, earning NJSIAA Scholar \nAthlete award as a Senior. She was a 4-year starter for Bucknell \nUniversity Lacrosse and was an All Patriot League Conference selection \neach year. She was named to the IWLCA All Mid-Atlantic Region Team in \n2009. Bonnie has coached with the Maplewood Lacrosse Club and also \nserved as a local referee.
EQUIPMENT NEEDS - All \nparticipants must have their own mouth guard. Eye goggles must be worn \nand some are available for use. Participants who have their own sticks \nshould bring them to each session. A limited number of lacrosse sticks \nare available for use.
