Literature and the Law is a conference series inspired by Judge Gordon Low of the First District Court in Cache Valley, Utah. Judge Low spoke of lawyers as wordsmiths with an obligation to read and study great literature for the purpose of improving the application and quality of law. Travis Marker heard this presentation five years before he organized the first Literature and the Law conference. This conference series continues to explore literature's relation to law, legal studies, and advocacy.
