*GPS location: Helen Randle Park 220 Swamp Road Newtown PA 18940Building on the tradition and success of the previous Rock sponsored tournaments, Newtown Rock Fastpitch Softball is proud to announce its 1st Annual Rock Halloween Spook-tacular tournament. We will be offering both 10U and 12U divisions with teams carrying their 2011 rosters only please. Each division will play a minimum of 4 games, with 12 teams maximum per division. This is an open tournament for 10U and 12U teams with 2011 rosters and will be played according to ASA rules, no new inning after 1 hour 15 minutes, 3 seeding games on Saturday and single-elimination on Sunday. 10U teams will be permitted to field a minimum of 8 players without the penalty of an automatic out for the 9th batter; this is as long as you do not have any reserve or bench players available. There will be free substitutions along with full team batting to give coaches plenty of opportunities to evaluate their players before they transition into the winter training phase of their season. We have four fields at our main softball complex and they are very well maintained. Our softball complex has full amenities and is conveniently located very close to I-95 near the Delaware River. We will have a full menu provided by award-winning caterer Chef Joseph - Executive Chef & Owner of Liberty Belle Cruise Ship & Catering along with a full compliment of snacks as well. Previous Rock tournaments at our older age groups have traditionally filled-up quickly, so please register your team soon.
