The Snowbasin Nordic Challenge cross-country ski race is scheduled to begin at 10:00AM, on President’s Day, Monday, February 15th, 2010.
The venue is Snowbasin resort, which is about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, between the towns of Mountain Green and Huntsville.
The start is expected to be near parking area 2 at Snowbasin, which is also referred to as the lower parking lot. It is to the right and near the mountain as one faces the ski resort and resort lodges. It is also near the tubing hill.
Pre-race bib pick up will be available the day of the race from 8:00AM until 9:30AM at the course.
On-site registration is from 8 AM until 9 AM. ($17 race day so sign up early for a discount)
Distances will be approximately 5 Km (one loop) and 15 K (three loops.) Distances may vary some depending upon conditions at the time of the race.. Terrain is rolling.
Post-race food and refreshments will be available for all participants.
Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group and class. There will also be a raffle for skis, poles and numerous other prizes.

The event will benefit the rebuilding of Hospitalito Atitlan, which is a small hospital in the predominantly Mayan village of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. The original hospital was buried in a mudslide.
