For the 9th year, Talons Challenge will be showcasing the best steeps Beaver Creek has to offer. Over 24,000 vertical feet of Black Diamond and Double
Black Diamond runs await on Beaver Creek’s legendary World Cup Birds of Prey downhill course, Grouse Mountain, and in Larkspur Bowl. Conquer all 13
runs and earn your spot on the Talons Wall-of-Fame! Included in your registration fee are a free Bratwurst and either a Bud Light or a non-alcoholic
beverage. All finishers will receive a Helly Hansen Talon’s Challenge beanie, a commemorative Talons pin, lanyard and credential, and a chance to win
amazing prizes at the après party raffle at Red Tail Camp.
Talons Challenge is recommended for ages 13 and up, minimum Level 4.
New Talons Kids – Sunday, March 4, 2012
On March 4th, 2012, kids will have a challenge all their own with the new Talons Kids! Designed to give younger skiers and their families their very
own day to tackle the Talons Challenge, Talons Kids participants can ski at their own pace, amongst other skiers in the same age group and with
similar experience levels, all in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. All participants will receive an official Talons Kids beanie, a commemorative
Talons Kids pin, lanyard and credential, food and drink, and a chance to win amazing prizes at the après party raffle at Red Tail Camp.
For ages 5-12, minimum Level 4.
Early Check-in Party and Specials at Beaver Creek Sports on Friday, March 4
On Friday, March 4th from 5pm – 8pm, Beaver Creek Sports will host a special early check-in party for Talons Challenge/Talons Kids participants at
their in-resort location. Event participants can register (space permitting) or sign-in, pick-up their Talons lanyard and credential, and enjoy a $35
Talons Tune, 25% off all Demo Rentals, and 20% off non-sale retail items – all in preparation for the next days’ events! Beat the morning madness and
face the Challenge before everyone else by checking-in early at Beaver Creek Sports!
