The fall session is 12 weeks. There is no class November 23. This class is for dancers who are new to Irish dance. Dancers will be able to recognize Irish tunes and execute basic Irish dance movements such as skip 2-3s, sevens, back 2-3s, jump 2-3s, and jig movements. Dancers age 5 and up are invited to attend. All abilities welcome! Dancers may repeat the New Beginner class or begin younger than 5 based on teacher discretion. Attire is casual – shorts, leggings or a skort and t-shirt. Ballet or jazz shoes may be worn if already owned or dancers can start in socks. Dancers must come to class with their hair pulled back. Information about purchasing Irish dance shoes is provided after the start of class.
