As a Let's Move! Community Organization McRae-Gaines is excited to sponsor Get Fit Selma! - a revival of the Blackbelt Community Health Services very popular annual health fairs at Wallace Community College Selma. The days? activities will open with a 5K Run and Community Fun Run and Walk and will include medical screenings; a Let?s Move! Kids Challenge; an interactive exposition by local fitness and movement professionals and a healthy eating happening with produce from local farmers.

Packet Pick-Up & Late Registration
Packet Pick-Up is Friday, September 27, 2013, Noon-6:00 pm, McRae-Gaines Learning Center, 2601 Marie Foster St., Selma, AL 36701. Late Registration through race day is: 5K ? 14 years and older $20; 13 years and younger $15. FUN RUN/WALK - $10
Registration & Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather that consists of light rain without lightening we will set up registration in a covered area the 5K and Community Fun Run/Walk will be held.In the event of thunderstorms with lightening the 5K and Fun Run/Walk will be cancelled without a rain check. No refunds will be given.The Health Fair and Interactive Exposition will take place in the Gymnasium.

Wallace Community College Selma is located in Selma, AL, at 3000 Earl Goodwin Parkway, which is an extension of Marie Foster St. and/or Range St. From Birmingham take Hwy 22 toward Selma; turn left on Earl Goodwin Pkwy. From Montgomery take Hwy 80 Bypass to Highland Ave. Left on Highland & right on Marie Foster/Earl Goodwin Pkwy.
Location on Campus
The 5K Run will take place in front of the Wallace Patriot's Baseball Complex which is at the back side of the campus past the Henry Sanders Technology Building and the Health Sciences Building http://www.wccs.edu/Registration for both the 5K Run and the Community Fun Run/Walk will take place at the head of the course.
The 5K Race will start on campus at Wallace Community College and will continue off campus on protected roads through local residential areas and return to the finish line at Wallace Community College..
Dogs & Children
5K - no dogs or children in strollers in the competitive part of the run. Please hold back an be the last to start.1-Mile and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk - This is a family friendly event. Pets on a leash, children in strollers or walking are welcome.However, the trail is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Food & Drink
We are soliciting something light and healthy for runners for breakfast. Water will definitely be available!
Race numbers must be worn visibly on the front of the runner for the duration of the race. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Race results will be posted as soon as available on the Montgomery MultiSport website, www.montgomerymultisport.com.
Registration at the Race
Registration at the Race will start at 6:45 am. Warm-up will begin at 7:45 am and the race will start at 8:00 am sharp.
The 5K Course starts at Wallace Community College at the Gymnasium and follows Earl Goodwin Parkway to the Selma Mall where there will be a secure turn around and a return course through the Wilkinson Homes neighborhood following College Drive, Woodrow Avenue Deer Ridge Avenue and returning to the college campus.
