TAF’s Counselor in Training program is open to rising 9th-12th graders. This program gives participants the opportunity to place the needs of others ahead of their own, share what they have learned and be a role model for younger campers. CITs will be assigned to a specific session and group and work with the STEM Instructor for the summer, attend field trips and staff meetings and be an active participant in Summer @ TAF. CIT’s will experience the responsibilities of a summer camp teacher as well as gain a better understanding of summer camp operations. The Counselor-in-Training program requires a minimum commitment of two (2) consecutive weeks. CIT’s will be paid an hourly salary of $10. There is no fee for this program, but enrollment is limited. To apply, the potential Counselor in Training will need to complete the online application. Each applicant will be notified upon acceptance or rejection. Decisions are made on a first come, first served basis, taking into consideration the CIT’s availability and qualifications, and the camp needs.
