The 5K course is fast and flat with the exception of the Drinkwater Dip. The competitive, chip-timed 10K is two loops of the 5K course. The 5K fun run is designed to be non-competitive. 5K'ers who want an official time on the 5K can pay an extra $5 for chip-timing.
The 10K will be accurately timed utilizing the ChronoTrack timing system. A disposable chip, or B-Tag, is attached to your race number "bib". B-Tag timing is optional for 5K registrants.
Top three finishers, both male and female, in each of the standard five year age groups will receive custom Superb Owl medals. Overall male and female 10K winners will receive Luminox watches! Top male and female in the 5K will also receive special awards. ALL finishers receive a one-of-a-kind, glow in the dark medal!
FREE! Children 5 & under meet at the Start line at 6:45 to run a short distance in our "Flight of the Owlets" tot trot. In addition, children under 12 can run the non-competitive 5K free with a paid adult registrant. Free entries do not include T-shirt. Complete 5K and 10K results will be available on LCD monitors at the expo and online.
Packet Pickup for everyone who has registered through midnight May 8 will be at iRun, 4730 E. Indian School Road, on May 9 (noon to 7pm) and May 10 (10am to 2pm). IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED ONLINE AFTER MIDNIGHT THURSDAY MAY 8, YOUR RACE BIB WILL NOT BE AT IRUN. YOUR RACE BIB WILL BE AT RACE-NIGHT PACKET PICKUP AT THE RACE EXPO. IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED AND WANT TO PICK UP EVERYTHING AT IRUN, WE'D BE HAPPY TO REGISTER YOU IN PERSON AT IRUN. CASH/CHECK/CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED.
